Graduate Programs Application Management
The current application portal for Fall 2026 admits is closed. The application portal will accept new applicants in late September 2026.
The Non Degree application is only for students interested in a course that is not leading to a degree program. Please do not open an application in Non Degree if you want to apply to a program. These applications are available to Smith College employees, spouses and Northampton Area Public School Teachers. Learn more here.
Use this portal to apply to the following Graduate and Special Programs at Smith College. Application and all supporting materials must be received by the deadlines listed below for each program. All applicants must provide biographical data, a resume/CV, three letters of recommendation, a statement of objectives, official transcripts and a writing sample. Certain programs have additional information as supplemental materials. Additional information is provided in the application. International applicants are required to provide a passport and proof of English language proficiency.
Official transcripts, bearing signature and seal, should be sent from each educational institution attended leading to the bachelor's degree. Transcripts should be sent to gradstudy@smith.edu or to:
